1. Submit Your Letter

Send your appeal letter to the Valuation Office Agency (VOA). You can do this online at gov.uk, by email to ctbands@voa.gov.uk, or by post to the address in your letter.

2. VOA Reviews (2-3 months)

The VOA will review your case and may request additional information. They aim to respond within 2-3 months. They may visit your property or review records.

3. Decision & Appeal Rights

If successful, your band is reduced and you'll receive a refund. If rejected, you can appeal to the independent Valuation Tribunal within 3 months. This is also free.
